Wes Benson is a Painter and Illustrator living in Kansas City.

Wes completed his MFA at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City in 2010 and earned his Art History degree at the University of Kansas. Currently Wes is a resident artist at the Arts Incubator in the Crossroads district of downtown Kansas City. This fall Wes will be an Instructor of acrylic portrait painting in the Continuing and Professional Studies departrment of the Kansas City Art Institute. He has exhibited in both Kansas City and New York City. His paintings are typically oil paint over a bright acrylic base on either canvas or wood panel. Wes was born in Kansas City in 1981 and currently lives with his girlfriend Lindsay and his dog Rigley.
